Football Game Preview: Wallace Miners vs. Lakeside Knights

The Wallace Miners will challenge the Lakeside Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Wallace is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Idaho's top teams: Coeur du Christ Academy, who was ranked 14th at the time (Wallace was ranked 16th). The Miners came up short against the Saints on Friday, falling 38-18.

Despite the defeat, Wallace had strong showings from Cooper Miller, who rushed for 78 yards and two scores, and Lennox Radford, who picked up 137 receiving yards and one touchdown. Miller has been hot, having posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last seven times he's played.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lakeside). They blew past Clark Fork 46-24 on Friday. The Knights not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since September 26, 2024 (when they won 66-28).

Wallace's loss dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Lakeside, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-7.

Wallace beat Lakeside 54-46 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Do the Miners have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Knights turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
