Softball Recap: Spring Creek Comes Up Short

Spring Creek's tournament run continued when they took on Faith Lutheran on Friday. The Spring Creek Spartans fell just short of the Faith Lutheran Crusaders by a score of 11-10.

Ava Cauley made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those two runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Hannah Montoya, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.

Even though they lost, Spring Creek always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .680. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .636 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

Spring Creek now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Faith Lutheran, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Spring Creek wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 7-2 loss against Lowry on the 28th. As for Faith Lutheran, they have also already played their next matchup, a 4-1 win against Boulder City on the 28th.
