Baseball Game Preview: Saint Ignatius College Prep Wolfpack vs. Chicago Mt. Carmel Caravan

For the second straight game, Saint Ignatius College Prep will face off against Chicago Mt. Carmel. The Wolfpack will square off against the Caravan at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Saint Ignatius College Prep hasn't scored more than two runs for five games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

On Thursday, Saint Ignatius College Prep came up short against Chicago Mt. Carmel and fell 4-1.

For Chicago Mt. Carmel's part, Matt Murphy spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on six hits. Murphy has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Anthony Chavez, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high.
