Recap: Lockney Longhorns vs. Ralls Jackrabbits
The Lockney Longhorns pushed their score all the way to 57 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 66-57 to Ralls. Lockney was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Jackrabbits apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.
Despite the loss, Lockney still got an impressive performance from Nathan Hernandez, who scored 27 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hernandez has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Dahlen Silva, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine rebounds.
Lockney has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season. As for Ralls, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-15.
Lockney will take on the Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Ralls, they will head out on the road to square off against the Whirlwinds at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Floydada's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last eight matches.
