Volleyball Game Preview: Crescent City Raiders vs. Menendez Falcons

Crescent City hasn't had much luck against Menendez recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Raiders will face off against the Falcons at 7:00 p.m.

On Monday, Crescent City didn't have quite enough to beat Pine Ridge and fell 3-2. While the Raiders didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Panthers 25-18 in the first set.

Crescent City actually scored more points across those five sets (104-102), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 18-25, 25-22, 25-20, 19-25, 15-12.

Despite the loss, Crescent City saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Bethany Robinson had 22 digs. Robinson is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least 11 every time she's taken the court this season.

Menendez not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since September 3, 2024 (when they won 3-0). They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Westside. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Falcons.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Menendez took every set by at least 13 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-10, 25-12.

Menendez's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Crescent City, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
