St. Xavier came tearing into Saturday's match with 15 straight wins dating back to last season, and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Olentangy Berlin Bears. That's more bragging rights for the Bombers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The victory didn't come easy: Olentangy Berlin scored at least 19 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-20.

Joe Taggart paced St. Xavier's offense, picking up 13 kills. Taggart got some help from Cam Evans and his 28 assists.

Cooper Uhinck and Mitchell Moran certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Uhinck had 17 assists and six digs, while Moran had four digs and two assists. Uhinck is crushing it when it comes to assists: he's posted at least 17 every time he's taken the court this season.

St. Xavier pushed their record up to 3-0 with the win, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Olentangy Berlin, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.
