Basketball Recap: Pendleton Falls Short of St. Helens in the Playoffs

Pendleton and St. Helens squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Pendleton had to settle for second. They took a 42-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Helens Lions. The Buckaroos were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Despite the defeat, Pendleton had strong showings from Khimora Scott, who posted 13 points and five boards, and Ellery Flerchinger, who put up seven points.

This is the second loss in a row for Pendleton and nudges their season record down to 8-19. As for St. Helens, they moved to 14-7 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

As of now, neither Pendleton nor St. Helens have any future games scheduled.
