Soccer Recap: Middle Creek Victorious + How To Watch

It was close, but on Thursday the Middle Creek Mustangs sidestepped the Riverside-Durham Pirates for a 3-2 victory. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Middle Creek's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked ninth, while Riverside-Durham are ranked 148th).

Middle Creek hit Riverside-Durham with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Holden Adams, Cooper Riesenberg, and Chris Quevedo-Antunez.

Middle Creek's win bumped their record up to 10-1-1. As for Riverside-Durham, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4-3.

Middle Creek and Riverside-Durham will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Mustangs are set to square off against their familiar foe Sanderson at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Riverside-Durham will face off against rival Hillside at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday.
