Volleyball Game Preview: West Jones Mustangs vs. Gautier Gators

The West Jones Mustangs will take on the Gautier Gators at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

It was a classic East v. West duel when West Jones duked it out with Northeast Jones on Thursday. The Mustangs lost 3-0 to the Tigers. The loss continues a trend for the Mustangs in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost six in a row.

Meanwhile, Gautier posted their closest victory since August 23rd on Tuesday. They skirted past Clinton 3-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Gators.

Gautier was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (103-94), but they still managed to win. The final score came out to 18-25, 25-21, 11-25, 25-20, 15-12.

West Jones better keep an eye on Illeiram Arce. She was instrumental in Gautier's win, getting seven digs and one assist.

West Jones' defeat dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Gautier, their win bumped their record up to 11-15.
