Volleyball Recap: Sycamore Comes Up Short

If Sycamore was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Loveland last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Aviators fell 2-0 to the Milford Eagles on Saturday. The Aviators were not able to make up for their loss to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Sycamore was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-23.

Milford can attribute much of their success to Drew Ward, who had 13 digs and two assists.

Sycamore's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Milford, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 6-0.

Coincidentally, Sycamore and Milford will both be playing Taylor the next time they take the court. The Eagles will head out to face the Yellowjackets at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Aviators will play them later in the day, at 12:00 p.m.
