Basketball Recap: Greater Grace Christian Academy Snaps 11-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Greater Grace Christian Academy entered their contest against Maryland School for the Deaf on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Greater Grace Christian Academy Eagles had to suffer through a 76-49 loss at the hands of the Maryland School for the Deaf Orioles. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 166th, while the Orioles are ranked 46th).

Greater Grace Christian Academy's loss ended an 11-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 10-7. As for Maryland School for the Deaf, the win keeps them at an undefeated 20-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Greater Grace Christian Academy will head out to square off against Mount Airy Christian Academy at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Maryland School for the Deaf, they and Middletown will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday without much rest having both just played. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Middletown has won four straight at home, while Maryland School for the Deaf won 16 straight on the road dating back to last season), something that'll have to change.
