Recap: Institute of Tech Eagles vs. Cortland Purple Tigers
The Institute of Tech Eagles took care of business in their home opener on Friday (and then some). They blew past Cortland 65-41.
When it comes to explaining why Cortland lost, one person who can't be blamed is Antonio Terrazas. Despite the final result, he scored 18 points. Caden Albright was another key contributor, scoring six points along with six assists.
Speaking of assists, Cortland were working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Institute of Tech's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Cortland, they bumped their record down to 0-4 with that loss, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Institute of Tech will square off against Mexico at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cortland, they will head out on the road to face off against Homer at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. Homer and Cortland are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
