Baseball Recap: Big Spring Takes a Loss

Big Spring was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Compass Academy Cougars.

RJ Gomez made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Caden Reynoso, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Big Spring's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Big Spring will be playing at home against Crane at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Compass Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge Greenwood at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
