Soccer Recap: Mission San Jose Takes a Loss

Mission San Jose was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Irvington Vikings. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 back in January.

Mission San Jose's loss dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Irvington, the victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-16.

Mission San Jose does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Irvington, they will head out on the road to challenge American at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Irvington's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for six straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
