Basketball Recap: Orono Falls Short Against Ranked Caribou

On Saturday, Orono faced Caribou in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Orono Riots fell 59-49 to the Caribou Vikings. The Riots have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.

Orono's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-3. As for Caribou, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Orono will square off against Greater Houlton Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Orono is facing Greater Houlton Christian Academy at the right time seeing as Greater Houlton Christian Academy is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Caribou, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Presque Isle at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
