Volleyball Recap: Somerset College Prep Academy Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Somerset College Prep Academy can now relate to. They came up short against the Cardinal Newman Crusaders on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Spartans were not able to make up for their defeat to the Crusaders from their previous meeting back in August of 2019.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-9, 25-10.

Somerset College Prep Academy dropped their record down to 12-8 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Cardinal Newman, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-3 record this season.

Somerset College Prep Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cardinal Newman, they will face off against King's Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
