Thurston waltzed into their matchup on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They blew past the Springfield Millers, posting a 38-7 win. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Colts just coasted through the last quarter.

Thurston's defense made their presence known, laying out Brayden Wickersheim three times. In that department, Cruz Gray was the leader with two sacks. Bentlee Davenport got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Thurston's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Springfield, they dropped their record down to 1-4 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.
