Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Oakland

Oakland had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 31 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They strolled past the Regis Rams with points to spare, taking the game 59-40. The Oakers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Rams, too.

Oakland pushed their record up to 11-8 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.3 points per game. As for Regis, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-11.

When Oakland and Regis next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Oakland will square off against Myrtle Point and their four-game winning streak at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Regis will try to stop Salem Academy's seven-game winning streak when the meet at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
