There's no place like home for Christian Brothers Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They skirted past the Middletown South Eagles 2-1. The Colts have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles on Monday, too.

Christian Brothers Academy was actually outscored in aggregate across those three sets (74-67), but they still managed to win. The final score came out to 14-25, 26-24, 27-25.

Sean Kennedy paced Christian Brothers Academy's offense, picking up 24 kills. Kennedy got some help from Jake Tarzian and his 37 assists. Seamus McGoldrick controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Christian Brothers Academy's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-3. As for Middletown South, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Christian Brothers Academy will challenge rival Howell at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Middletown South is set to square off against their familiar foe Marlboro at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
