Baseball Recap: Lincoln Comes Up Short

Lincoln lost against Robert C. Byrd two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Cougars fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 5-4. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Lincoln now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Robert C. Byrd, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Lincoln will square off against rival East Fairmont at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Robert C. Byrd is set to take on their familiar foe Bridgeport at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (the Eagles have won four straight at home, while the Indians won four straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
