Football Recap: Douglas Byrd Takes a Loss

Douglas Byrd extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 12 on Friday, dropping them down to 0-10. They had to suffer through a 48-0 loss at the hands of the St. Pauls Bulldogs. The Eagles lost against the Bulldogs in their previous head to head back in August of 2016, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 12-8 score last time.

As for St. Pauls, they pushed their record up to 9-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The game marked their most dominant win of the season.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Yoshua McBryde and Jashon Carter. McBryde rushed for 175 yards and three TDs while Carter rushed for 178 yards and a pair of scores on only 12 carries. McBryde's longest rush was for an incredible 98 yards.

As of now, neither Douglas Byrd nor St. Pauls have any future games scheduled.
