Baseball Game Preview: Orange Vista Coyotes vs. Citrus Hill Hawks

The Orange Vista Coyotes will head out to take on the Citrus Hill Hawks at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The last four games Orange Vista has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Orange Vista fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Hemet on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 4-3.

Meanwhile, Citrus Hill didn't have quite enough to beat Heritage on Thursday and fell 6-5. The Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Joel Raya made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Noah Brion was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Orange Vista has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-8 record this season. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the defeats came by an average of only 1.67 runs. As for Citrus Hill, their loss dropped their record down to 11-4.

Orange Vista took their victory against Citrus Hill when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 6-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Coyotes since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
