Decatur managed to slip by Eagle Mountain the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Eagles lost 3-0 to the Knights on Tuesday. The Eagles' loss signaled the end of their ten-game winning streak.

While Decatur was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-23, 25-18.

Eagle Mountain had a senior duo take command as Lexi Nichols had 24 digs and four aces and Sophie Burdock had six aces. Burdock is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served three or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Decatur's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 31-4. As for Eagle Mountain, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 24-11.

Decatur has already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against Springtown on the 3rd. As for Eagle Mountain, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Krum on the 3rd.
