Valley came tearing into Saturday's game with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.2 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Roosevelt Roughriders a 5-0 shutout. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 22-0 win back in May.

Valley pushed their record up to 24-12 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.5 runs over those games. As for Roosevelt, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-15.

Looking ahead, Valley will look to defend their home field on Monday against Mason City. Roosevelt does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
