Soccer Game Preview: Holy Name vs. Steele

Holy Name is 0-4 against Steele since August of 2019 but things could change on Saturday. The Green Wave will welcome the Comets at 12:00 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Holy Name's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They won by a goal and slipped past Brush 1-0. Holy Name wouldn't have won without Jonathan Day, who scored the game-winner.

Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Steele's offense. They came up short against Avon on Wednesday, falling 6-0. While losing is never fun, Steele can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 123rd, while Avon are ranked 11th).

Holy Name's win bumped their record up to 3-6-3. As for Steele, their loss dropped their record down to 7-3-2.
