Basketball Game Preview: Phil Campbell Bobcats vs. Mars Hill Bible Panthers

Phil Campbell hasn't had much luck against Mars Hill Bible recently, but that could start to change on Friday. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Phil Campbell Bobcats challenge the Mars Hill Bible Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Phil Campbell will be strutting in after a victory while Mars Hill Bible will be coming in after a defeat.

Last Saturday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Phil Campbell beat Covenant Christian 42-36.

Meanwhile, Mars Hill Bible played a tough contest on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 106-56 loss at the hands of Huntsville. While losing is never fun, Mars Hill Bible can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 56th, while Huntsville is ranked second).

Mars Hill Bible's defeat dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Phil Campbell, their win bumped their record up to 9-10.

Phil Campbell ended up a good deal behind Mars Hill Bible when the teams last played back in December of 2024, losing 61-47. Can Phil Campbell avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
