Basketball Recap: Davenport West Comes Up Short

Davenport West lost against Davenport Central back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Davenport West Falcons took a 55-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Davenport Central Blue Devils. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 226th, while the Blue Devils are ranked 46th).

Davenport West has also been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 3-16 record this season. As for Davenport Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

Looking ahead, Davenport West will head out to challenge Pleasant Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Davenport Central, they will face off against North Scott at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
