Cor Jesu Academy won the last time they faced Breese Central and things went their way on Saturday too. The Chargers came out on top against the Cougars by a score of 2-0.

Lauren Ortwerth paced Cor Jesu Academy's offense, picking up eight kills. Ortwerth got some help from Tori Gallen and her nine assists. Gallen also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Avery Finney, each putting up two.

Cor Jesu Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. As for Breese Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 18-7.
