Claude never let their opponents score on Friday. They blew past the Groom Tigers 50-0. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Mustangs just coasted through the last quarter.

Claude didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Trapper Godfrey and Korbin Jackson. Godfrey got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

The win was the third in a row for Claude, bringing their record up to 3-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 10.0 points on average over those games. As for Groom, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Looking ahead, Claude will challenge San Jacinto Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Mustangs will be up against the Patriots' rather soft defense (which has allowed 32.75 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Groom, they will venture away from home to face off against Wildorado at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
