Basketball Recap: Kellen Robinson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead College Prep & Leadership Academy over Leadership Academy + How To Watch

College Prep & Leadership Academy was the 58-52 winner over Leadership Academy when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. The Royals fell 70-61 to the Falcons on Friday. The Royals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

College Prep & Leadership Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Kellen Robinson, who went 6-for-7 on his way to 13 points and four blocks. He has also also been stellar as far as field goal percentage is concerned: he's posted one of at least 50% every time he's hit the court this season. Another player making a difference was Gvanni Byron, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 12 boards.

Caden Ryker was a one-man wrecking crew For Leadership Academy. as he dropped a double-double with 31 points and 14 rebounds. Those 14 boards gave Ryker a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Walt Martin, who shot 45% from the field to rack up 13 points and seven rebounds.

College Prep & Leadership Academy now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Leadership Academy, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Looking ahead, College Prep & Leadership Academy will challenge Phoenix Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The Royals will be up against the Firebirds' rather soft defense (which has allowed 62 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Leadership Academy, they will face off against West Stokes at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
