Baseball Recap: Carroll Comes Up Short

Carroll came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Western Panthers, falling 16-6. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Landon Hammond made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and two doubles.

Carroll's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Western, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Carroll will challenge Delphi Community at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Western, they will square off against Westfield at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The last four games the Rocks have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
