Football Recap: Caleb Green and Michael Woodley Pace Notre Dame Defense

The matchup between Notre Dame and Lakeway Christian Academy on Friday hardly resembled the 14-7 effort from their previous meeting. The Fighting Irish walked away with a 42-35 victory over the Lions. That's two games straight that the Fighting Irish have won by exactly seven points.

Jacorrion Tramble had a dynamite game, rushing for 26 yards and three touchdowns, while also picking up 90 receiving yards and one TD. Those 90 receiving yards gave him a new career-high. Michael Woodley got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Notre Dame didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Caleb Green and Woodley. Another thorn in Lakeway Christian Academy's side was Miles Carter, who made 14 total tackles.

The win got Notre Dame back to even at 3-3. As for Lakeway Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.
