Recap: Cedartown Bulldogs vs. Northwest Whitfield Bruins
The Cedartown Bulldogs had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 35.3 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 33-7 margin over Northwest Whitfield. The result was nothing new for Cedartown, who have now won three games by 26 points or more so far this season.
Cedartown can attribute much of their success to Juelz Davis, who rushed for 150 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries. Davis' longest rush was for an incredible 77 yards. Tae Harris was another key contributor, gaining 111 total yards and a touchdown.
Cedartown has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Northwest Whitfield, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-4.
Cedartown will be playing at home against Holy Innocents Episcopal at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Georgia (Holy Innocents Episcopal is ranked 81st, while Cedartown is ranked 94th). As for Northwest Whitfield, they will head out on the road to face off against Stephenson at 7:30 p.m. on November 11th. Stephenson will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive.
