Soccer Recap: Joliet Catholic Takes a Loss

Joliet Catholic lost against Lockport back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Hilltoppers came up short against the Porters, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, Joliet Catholic can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 246th, while Lockport are ranked 11th).

Joliet Catholic's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Lockport, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-2.

Joliet Catholic has already played their next contest, a 5-1 victory against Back of the Yards College Prep on the 12th. As for Lockport, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next match, a 3-2 win against Bolingbrook on the 12th.
