Softball Recap: Lake Marion Drops Highest Score of Season Against Whale Branch

Lake Marion scored the most runs they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They came up short against the Whale Branch Warriors, falling 42-33. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game two weeks ago (21), the Gators still had to take the loss.

Lake Marion's loss was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Whale Branch, with the win, they broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-6.

Looking ahead, Whale Branch will challenge Cross at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lake Marion will be paying especially close attention to Whale Branch's match: after Whale Branch faces off against Cross, they'll take on Lake Marion again at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
