Fairfield Union has gone 8-1 against New Lexington recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Falcons will be playing at home against the Panthers at 1:00 p.m. Fairfield Union will be strutting in after a victory while New Lexington will be coming in after a defeat.

Fairfield Union lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Maysville, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Friday's match. The Falcons put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 14-4 win on Friday. The Falcons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by ten runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, New Lexington unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Morgan. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, the Panthers couldn't push the score so high this time.

New Lexington saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lena Finck, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Fairfield Union's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-7. As for New Lexington, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.

Fairfield Union skirted past New Lexington 12-11 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Do the Falcons have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
