Walkertown came tearing into Thursday's game with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the South Davidson Wildcats.

Walkertown had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 23-25, 27-25, 25-20, 25-20.

Madison Holmes paced Walkertown's offense, picking up 14 kills. Holmes got some help from Chloe Isaacs and her 34 assists. Olivia Bost controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Walkertown's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for South Davidson, they dropped their record down to 1-5 with the loss, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Walkertown will take on Millennium at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for South Davidson, they will square off against Asheboro Hybrid Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
