Baseball Recap: Whitehall-Yearling Rams vs. Grandview Heights Bobcats
Whitehall-Yearling extended their losing streak to ten on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 1-17 in the process. They lost 19-0 to the Grandview Heights Bobcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bobcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-0 last Monday.
As for Grandview Heights, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
For Grandview Heights' part, Kinny Wilson and Michael Greer were major factors while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Wilson tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Greer tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in eight consecutive appearances.
