Basketball Game Preview: Tullahoma Wildcats vs. Gray Collegiate Academy War Eagles

The Tullahoma Wildcats will take on the Gray Collegiate Academy War Eagles in a holiday battle at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Tuesday, Tullahoma narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Shelbyville Central 55-52. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Golden Eagles recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Jayden Thompson was a one-man wrecking crew as he shot 43% from the field on his way to 17 points and eight boards. That's the most rebounds he has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Sam Bobo, who scored eight points and six boards.

Meanwhile, Gray Collegiate Academy faced North Augusta in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The War Eagles came out on top against the Yellow Jackets by a score of 64-56.

Tullahoma's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Gray Collegiate Academy, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.
