Basketball Recap: Travis Takes a Loss

Travis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Lago Vista Vikings, falling 62-36. The Rebels were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vikings apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2016.

Porter Herrod was his usual excellent self, going 7 for 10 on his way to 20 points for Lago Vista. The team also got some help courtesy of Henry Sisemore, who went 5 of 10 en route to 11 points along with six boards and four blocks.

Travis' loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Lago Vista, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 20-2.

Travis will face off against Austin Achieve at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lago Vista, they will challenge Manor New Tech at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lago Vista is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.9 points per game this season.
