Football Recap: Sierra Vista Comes Up Short

Sierra Vista was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 17-9 to the Lakeside Lancers.

Lakeside got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jaylen Long out in front who picked up 62 receiving yards and one TD, and also rushed for 40 yards.

Sierra Vista's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Lakeside, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. After each having a week off, Sierra Vista and Ontario will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:00 p.m. on October 3. The game will give the Dons their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Lakeside, they will take on Perris at 7:00 p.m. on October 2. This will also be the Lancers' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
