Baseball Recap: Fort Osage Comes Up Short

Fort Osage lost to Truman back in May of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Indians fell just short of the Patriots by a score of 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Indians have suffered since April 26, 2025.

Adin Bunting was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run and one triple.

This is the second loss in a row for Fort Osage and nudges their season record down to 18-14. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 19-11 Platte County (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 57.5% over those games). As for Truman, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 15-14.

Looking ahead, Fort Osage will head out to face off against Harrisonville at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Indians' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season. As for Truman, they will be playing at home against Platte County at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
