Softball Game Preview: Mount Everett Regional Eagles vs. Westfield Technical Academy Tigers

For the second straight game, Mount Everett Regional will face off against Westfield Technical Academy. The Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the Tigers at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mount Everett Regional has given up an average of 19.4 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Mount Everett Regional took a 12-run defeat the last time they faced off against Westfield Technical Academy, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Eagles had just enough and edged out the Tigers 22-21. The high-scoring effort was just what the Eagles needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Kamari Pridgen and Celia Lennex did most of the damage at the plate: Pridgen got on base in all five of her plate appearances with four runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Lennex got on base in four of her five plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and one RBI. What's more, Pridgen posted two hits, the most she's had since back in May of 2025. Another player making a difference was London Krans, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Westfield Technical Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season. As for Mount Everett Regional, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-13.
