Baseball Recap: East Knox Comes Up Short

East Knox suffered their biggest loss since April 29, 2024 on Saturday. They came up short against the Fairfield Union Falcons, falling 14-4. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 3-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

East Knox has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-10 record this season. As for Fairfield Union, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East Knox will take on Centerburg at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Trojans' pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so the Bulldogs' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Fairfield Union, they will face off against Sheridan at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
