Baseball Recap: Woodland Park's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak at Home

Woodland Park's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They blew past Harrison 12-2. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for Woodland Park considering their one-run performance the matchup before.

Link Bryden made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 11 over six innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That home run marked the first that he launched this season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Gabe Marquez, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2. He also hit a triple, marking his first of the season. Wyatt Stimits was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one triple.

Woodland Park's victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-1. As for Harrison, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season.
