Basketball Recap: GVCS Broadfording Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Musselman, GVCS Broadfording was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They managed a 34-28 victory over the Saint James Saints.

Saint James lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Tenley Mullendore, who posted 14 points. That was a full 50% of Saint James' points, marking the third time in a row Mullendore has put up more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Renee Sullivan, who earned seven points and four steals.

GVCS Broadfording has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 3-5 record this season. As for Saint James, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 10-11 record this season.

Coincidentally, GVCS Broadfording and Saint James will both be playing Martinsburg the next time they take the court. GVCS Broadfording will host Martinsburg at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, while Saint James will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
