Preview: Sunnydale Academy vs. Christian Fellowship
Sunnydale Academy and Christian Fellowship are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2018, but not for long. Sunnydale Academy will head out on the road to face off against Christian Fellowship at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
Sunnydale Academy couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell to Mid-Missouri HomeSchool 39-34.
Christian Fellowship has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 21 points or more this season. They put the hurt on Lighthouse Prep Academy with a sharp 45-24 victory on Tuesday. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 31-5.
Christian Fellowship got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Brooke Grathwohl out in front who scored 16 points. The matchup was Grathwohl's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Ariya Barton, who scored 11 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 assists.
Sunnydale Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Christian Fellowship, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.
Sunnydale Academy suffered a grim 39-15 defeat to Christian Fellowship in their previous meeting back in February. Can Sunnydale Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
