Soccer Game Preview: Chapmanville Regional vs. Winfield + Official Tickets

Chapmanville Regional hasn't had much luck against Winfield recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Tigers will head out to face off against the Generals at 6:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

While Chapmanville Regional's win against Tug Valley wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Tigers had just enough and edged out the Panthers 5-4. Jonathan Ferrell was a massive factor in the win as he booted in three goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, Winfield had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 goals) and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the Black Eagles. That's two games straight that Winfield have won by just one goal.

Chapmanville Regional's victory bumped their record up to 13-6-1. As for Winfield, their win bumped their record up to 12-6-2.
