Softball Recap: Smithville Triumphs

While Smithville's victory against Rittman wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Smithies narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Indians 3-2. The Smithies haven't had any issues with the Indians recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

ZeAnna Cyrus was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched. She also allowed seven hits, marking her first of the season. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.
