Volleyball Game Preview: Magnolia Science Academy Reseda Warriors vs. Lake Balboa College Prep Cougars

After both having extra time off, the Magnolia Science Academy Reseda Warriors and the Lake Balboa College Prep Cougars will shake off the rust and duke it out at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Magnolia Science Academy Reseda will be strutting in after a win while Lake Balboa College Prep will be coming in after a loss.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Magnolia Science Academy Reseda turned things around against Alliance Marine-Innovation & Technology two weeks ago. They blew past the Griffins 3-0.

Meanwhile, Lake Balboa College Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch two weeks ago as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Valor Academy.

Lake Balboa College Prep took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-22, 24-26, 25-19, 15-13.

Magnolia Science Academy Reseda's victory bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Lake Balboa College Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-14.

Magnolia Science Academy Reseda beat Lake Balboa College Prep 3-1 in their previous matchup back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
